Transform Your Manuscript with Emerald Scribe Books!

My name is Isabelle, though I’m also known as the Shaggy Shepherd online. I have loved books all my life but really became fully immersed in the bookish life when I started my first blog as a reviewer. I’ve since joined a blog team instead but still love interacting one-on-one with other bookish people on Discord, Instagram, Threads, BlueSky, and in various book clubs. While I do write a little on the side, my main passion is helping other authors make their own work shine as a copy editor and proofreader.

When I’m not reading or editing, I love spending time with my daughter (often reading books or making art together), sewing, hiking, hanging out with friends, and traveling. I’m also a big animal lover and share my world with one dog and two cats.

Emerald Scribe Books AI Policy

Isabelle Wagner (the person behind Emerald Scribe Books) does not use generative AI tools in any part of her process and will not upload your work to a gen AI platform. She will be the only person with access to your manuscript unless she’s told to share it with someone else (such as a PA). She does not agree with the use of generative AI in creative spaces and therefore prefers to not work with authors that knowingly use it in any part of their process, including (but not limited to) idea generation, outlining, writing, editing, artwork, or promotional material.

“I cannot recommend Emerald Scribe enough. Isabelle’s attention to detail regarding syntax and
grammar was unparalleled, and for this author (who is an English teacher by day) some of Isabelle’s suggestions really caught me off guard in the best way. Additionally, Isabelle’s awareness of continuity across my series regarding naming protocols was an added bonus that supported me in creating an incredibly polished final file for publication.”
